Minister activities:
- On the margins of the celebration of International Human Rights Day and on the occasion of the closing information day of the national campaign to combat violence against women, which took place yesterday in Algiers, at the National Training Centre for Specialized staff of Birkhadem, the Minister of Communication, Spokesman of the Government and Acting Minister of Culture, Mr. Hassane Rabehi, said that Algeria has always been part of the battle to defend human rights, committing itself to protect women and their rights by all means. The Minister of Communication recalled that his department remains open for any communication initiatives that raise awareness about violence against women and also proposes training sessions for journalists to be able to promote the culture of respect for women, report El-Moudjahid (P.15) and Horizons (P.07).

- A communiqué from the National Radio reports on the attack against its permanent correspondent in Brussels, Habib Bensafi who was in charge of covering the presidential election. The Algerian Radio strongly condemns these unworthy acts and reserves the right to institute legal proceedings through the authorised ways, according to El-Moudjahid (P.03) and Horizons (P.24).
