Condolences
- Saddened by the death of APS journalist Djamila Djerrar, the Minister for Communication, spokesman of the government, and Acting Minister for Culture, Mr. Hassane Rabehi, presents his sincere condolences to her family, and assures them, on this painful occasion, of his support and sympathy, reports El-Moudjahid (P.24) and Horizons (P.24).

According to El-Moudjahid (P.24) and Horizons (P.24), Djamila Djerrar, a journalist at the national agency Algeria Press Service (APS), died on Monday in Algiers at the age of 61 following an illness. The deceased was buried yesterday in the cemetery of El Alia (Algiers).
- In a communiqué on the coverage of the presidential election of 12 December, the Audiovisual Regulatory Authority (ARAV), reiterated some points and stressed the need to ensure respect for the Constitution, the information law, the electoral system and audiovisual activity, calling on audiovisual and electronic media to participate responsibly in the next election, report El-Moudjahid (P.09) and Horizons (P.04). Citing Article 50 of the Fundamental Law, the ARAV recalled also that press freedom is guaranteed by law and is not restricted by any censorship but cannot be used to violate the rights of others.
