Algeria has lost a devoted son who had always borne on his shoulders the country’s issues and difficulties without hesitation or complaint, affirmed Director of Communication, Information and Guidance at the Ministry of the National Defense Major General Boualem Madi during the burial of late Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah, the deputy minister of National Defense and chief of the Army Staff on Wednesday at the cemetery of El Alia, in Algiers.
In a funeral oration read at the funeral of late mujaheed Ahmed Gaid Salah, Major General Madi said that “Algeria, which has started a new era of serenity after a long ordeal, has lost one of its most devoted men, a patriotic nationalist who devoted his life to serve it. Algeria loses an affectionate son who had always born the country’s issues and difficulties on his shoulders without hesitation or complaint.”
“He had always been an example and a model of resistance, perseverance and determination, never failed in his duties towards the nation, notably in times of crisis and ordeals. He honored his commitments by preserving the Algerians’ lives and leading Algeria to safety,” he added.
“Algeria is today making its farewells to one of its devoted heroes who didn’t hesitate to offer their lives so that Algeria recovers its sovereignty and independence, one of its heroes who answered to the call of the nation, from their young age,” added Major General Boualem Madi.
“Algeria’s deceased remained faithful to this path and had never changed his beliefs, he served his nation with sincerity and Allah rewarded him with the best accompaniment,” he added.
