Djamel Senhadri was installed Tuesday as new director general of the Algerian Radio, replacing Nacera Cherid, in a ceremony chaired by Minister of Communication Hassane Rabehi.
Senhadri, who worked for many years as reporter and presenter at Algerian Radio Channel 3, has held positions of responsibility in the National Radio Broadcasting Company (ENRS), such as manager of the regional station of Mostaganem and deputy programme director in national radio channel 3.
In an address he made on that occasion, the minister of Communication commended the work accomplished by Cherid, "especially in the country's current situation."
