Minister of Communication, Hamid Grine, called Sunday the press, particularly the sports press, to play its role in fighting violence phenomenon in stadiums, after the death of the JS Kabylie player, Albert Ebosse , who had been hit by a projectile after the match against USM Alger. The minister considered it as a dishonorable action.
I have a feeling of pain and sadness (...) .I condemn this ignoble action which grieved all the Algerian football”, said Mr. Grine on Chaine III, presenting his condolences to the deceased family and to the family of JSK. The minister estimated that violence is “a global phenomenon, which exists in all the developed countries” and this “does not lighten the gravity of this situation “especially after what happened yesterday in the stadium of Tizi-Ouzu”.
The minister stressed the importance of the role played by the press in fighting the violence and in promoting the fair-play. He also reckoned that a “part of responsibility” is on the press. Minister of Communication, Hamid Grine , who pointed out the importance of communication, announced the organization of two seminars of sensitization about the sports press, in which the first will be held until the end of September. He also pointed out the necessity to draw up law texts in order to punish every act of violence, adding that once the council of ethics and deontology is established , “it will work to denounce and punish every semantic war “.
